Benjamin Hillard Esquire is an attorney at Hillard Law Group, P.A. and Castle Law Group, P.A. Ben conducts business and real estate litigation, mergers and acquisitions, personal guaranty and foreclosure and deficiency judgment defense, business purchases and sales and banking law.

Ben has a consulting company that conducts commercial and residential loan purchase due diligence and acquisitions advisory services. Ben has conducted consulting work for MDMC, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Countrywide and others companies concerning commercial and residential loan acquisitions, including several transactions exceeding $1 billion dollars.

Ben was previously employed as an acquisitions manager at Ocwen Financial Corporation where he purchased commercial asset portfolios up to $195 million transactions. Several notable acquisitions include purchases from Wells Fargo, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (“FDIC”), Resolution Trust Corp. (“RTC”) and the Small Business Administration (“SBA”).

Ben has also managed a portfolio of up to 700 ongoing mortgage foreclosures in 15 states.

Ben is licensed to practice in Florida and Federal Courts. Ben holds a Florida Real Estate Broker’s License, and formerly held a Florida Title Insurance License and a Florida Appraisers license.

Ben has a business degree from Palm Beach Atlantic, an MBA from the Stetson School of Business and a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University School of Law.

Ben has developed a value-event-driven hedge fund strategy that achieved gains in excess of 64% per year for the 6.5 year period beginning in 1999.
